Quick RTP checklist for hamstring strains

I built a one-page return-to-play checklist for grade II hamstrings that blends prevention with rehab — Nordic volumes, progressive max-velocity exposures, and LSI ≥90% held dynamometer before reintroduction — and it’s worked well with our U17 squad this fall. If you’ve got thresholds or templates you like (e.g., Askling H-test criteria, sprint exposure targets during weeks 3–6), I’d love to compare notes.

With our college sprinters, I won’t progress beyond week 3 unless they’ve had two 48‑hour–separated sessions of flying 20s at 85–90% pain-free, then I tack on one set of Nordics (2×6) as a symptom screen — any “grab” and we hold max‑vel for 3–4 days. I’m with you on “LSI ≥90%” on the handheld dynamometer, but I push to ≥95% if they’re primary speed athletes.
